Michael Stare is the Directer and Owner. He is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, a Board Certified Nutritionist, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists. Michael graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. He earned a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from Boston University and a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions. Mike has completed a 2-year fellowship with the Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy, and recently completed fellowship research on lumbar spine disorders. As a physical therapist, he has helped hundreds of patients eliminate their pain and restore their function.
Mike obtained the prestigious Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) credential from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) in 1999, and recently obtained his Board Certification by the American College of Nutrition as a Nutrition Specialist (CNS). As a fitness professional, Mike has helped hundreds of people lose body fat, reclaim their active body, and reach optimal levels of health and fitness. He has lectured extensively as an educator of his peers, as well as to the general public. He has also written for T-nation magazine, strengthcoach.com, contributed to the Liftstrong collaboration, and asked to contribute to Men's Health magazine.
