I’ve been attending Spectrum Fitness for more than 1 year. The staff puts together our exercises based on our individual needs. Over time, I’ve seen improvement in my strength, balance and coordination. I’ve also experienced lessening of my musculoskeletal pain.
The Spectrum staff is caring and provide a fun, non stressful environment in which to exercise. I’m very fortunate to be able to attend Spectrum Fitness and strongly recommend it.

“Spectrum changed my life.”
I know it will sound like a cliche to say that Spectrum changed my life, but it truly has. I joined the small group training sessions at Spectrum following physical therapy at Orthopaedics Plus for a back injury. Graduating to Spectrum following PT was my goal, and the transition ended up being exceptionally smooth. The trainers at Spectrum are highly knowledgeable and encouraging, and they take the time to ensure everyone is using proper form and technique. As a result, I’ve been able to make incredible progress while avoiding injuries. I’m so much stronger than I ever thought would be possible, and I enjoy seeing my progress continue as weights increase on a regular basis. They’ve taught me so much about the benefits and techniques of strength training, and I know it’s one of the best things I can do for myself as I age. I’m grateful that I can work with these great trainers and the fun supportive people in my group.
My investment in strength training with Spectrum has paid dividends.
An osteopenia/osteoporosis diagnosis can be challenging, especially if it’s during a time in life when caring for young children and ailing elderly parents takes top priority. Sporadic exercising following Internet PT/trainers and local group classes only go so far. After constant injury, going it alone no longer worked.
My investment in strength training with Spectrum has paid dividends. More than strength to do everyday tasks like lifting heavy pots and pans in the kitchen, I have gained renewed confidence when traveling, trail walking, and gardening. Mishaps do still happen but the time it takes to recover is now a matter of a day or two instead of weeks and months. What’s more, strength training has also helped with managing normal aches and pain, and contributed greatly to my overall well-being.
Spectrums’ special programs provide the structure, accountability and support I need to go through this next stage of my health journey. The program is highly customized to my personal goals. All the trainers, especially my personal trainer, Brett, are super knowledgeable and encouraging. And the camaraderie from other members means there is a supportive community to boot.

Much stronger with real improvement in my posture
Years ago I developed a curve in the upper part of my back that caused pain in my back and neck. I did not realize that my pain was a result of atrophied and weak muscles.
I have been coming to classes at Spectrum Fitness for about eight months and have become much stronger with real improvement in my posture. Most important, I am not experiencing back and neck pain and have more energy in my work and the rest of my life.
Our trainer Brandon is very encouraging and helps each of us in the class to reach our potential. I have found that just when I am starting to feel comfortable and finding the exercise to be easy, Brandon recognizes that I am ready for the next challenge. Brandon spends time to help us to do the exercises with the right form, so that we don’t injure our muscles.
The environment of Spectrum Fitness is encouraging, challenging and fun! Although everyone has their own individual exercise plan, people enjoy working out together and enjoy a feeling of community here.

Training at Spectrum has made a huge difference in how I move and function every day.
Training at Spectrum has made a huge difference in how I move and function every day. It’s not just about working out—it has directly improved the activities I love most, like gardening, hiking, scuba diving, and keeping up with my grandkids.
Gardening takes a lot of strength and flexibility. I spend hours kneeling, bending, lifting, and reaching, and my training has helped me do all of that more efficiently with less strain. Hiking feels easier too: better balance has increased my confidence on more challenging terrain, and better strength and endurance has made longer, steeper trails within my reach.
One of the biggest differences has been with scuba diving. Walking with 60 pounds of scuba gear on my back is so much safer now. I feel stronger, more balanced, and better prepared every time I dive.
Most importantly, I have the energy and strength to fully enjoy time with my grandkids—lifting, playing on the floor, and keeping up with them without feeling worn out. This training has improved not just my fitness, but my quality of life.
I’m truly grateful for the expertise and support I’ve received at Spectrum from Mike, Dave, and Brandon. The investment in my health has paid off in so many ways, and I appreciate having a place that helps me stay strong enough to enjoy the life I love. Spectrum has made a lasting difference, and I couldn’t be more thankful.
