I started my journey at Spectrum a little over a year ago; my goals were to get fitter, become stronger, and be the healthiest version of myself. Now, a year later, I can say that I’ve come so far in accomplishing my goals. I can do an actual push-up off the floor, I’ve lowered my body fat percentage by 5%, and even aspects that I didn’t expect to improve upon, like my posture (posture is instrumental to overall health), have tremendously improved.
But these great feats didn’t happen overnight, and that’s one of the things I love about Spectrum – they understand this is a marathon, not a sprint (pun always intended). They don’t overload you with crazy exercises or excessive amounts of cardio; they understand the science behind losing weight and getting healthy, and in my opinion, have the best workout plan that proves that.
They really ease you into the workouts and you don’t get burnt out after months of training (something that I’ve found can happen at mainstream gyms, boot camps, classes, etc.). No matter your fitness level, yes, even if you’re a complete beginner, Spectrum is the place to be and feel comfortable.
They will modify workouts that fit you and your needs, whether modified for fitness level or if you’re recovering from an injury. Speaking of which, when I broke my foot last year, I thought I would have to stop going to Spectrum for a while, but then, the lovely trainers told me we could work around my injury. I was so happy that I didn’t have to stop all of the progress I had made, and that they had the right training to work around my broken foot.
Lastly, the trainers at Spectrum are awesome; they are not only knowledgeable, but they are great people to be around. Dave, Kacey, and Nick always take the time to answer questions and give great instruction for each exercise. And I really can’t forget about Spectrum’s rockstar Office Manager, Joanne, who is incredibly responsive and flexible whenever I have to reschedule a session (life happens, so it’s great they don’t mind rescheduling!).
Spectrum’s overall workout plan, trainer knowledge, and flexibility make it a great place to get fit and healthy. Spectrum’s people make it a fun, unassuming, comfortable place to get fit and healthy.
If you’re thinking about joining, I can’t recommend this place enough!
Thanks, Spectrum!!
