Hey everyone! My name is Justin, and I am one of the co-owners of Spectrum Fitness. I’m excited to share my journey with you. So here’s a little about me and who I am.
I’m a very driven person in all aspects of my life, especially with helping clients achieve their goals. This drive started when I was young with playing sports, fueled by an intense sibling rivalry with my little brother. This naturally led me to learn all that could about working out and enhancing performance.
I became fascinated with the human body, and how to make it perform optimally. I read everything I could get my hands on about health and fitness.
By 14 years old, I knew that I wanted to be a Personal Trainer and Physical Therapist. I was so lucky to have found my passion at such an early age. In addition to being consumed with sports and fitness, I worked construction and waited tables. This instilled a work ethic that served me well for my pursuits in becoming a personal trainer, physical therapist and business owner.
I went on to complete a 6 year, double major program at Boston University, earning my Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training and Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy. Throughout college, I worked as a personal trainer and became a certified strength and conditioning specialist. During those years, I became Director of Operations for our personal training company and helped expand from 1 location to 3 locations.
It was after working as a Physical Therapist Orthopedics Plus that I first heard about Spectrum Fitness. I was ecstatic to find that others shared the same passion I did about fitness and rehab and how to better merge the two to promote the best results. It was the exact culture I was looking for! There were great trainers, a fantastic support system, and plenty of growth avenues!
Fast forward to 2016, I purchased a house and of course the first house project was to turn the basement into a complete gym! The next project was to fence in the back yard for my Shiba Inu, Tyson.
As much as I love exercising, my passion for teaching people to exercise, helping clients reach points they never thought possible, and meeting great people in the studio are just as strong.
In early 2018, Mike Stare and I became the owners of Orthopedics Plus. I knew I wanted to be a part of the future of Spectrum Fitness because of Mike’s vision and how it aligned with mine.
Thank you for taking time out of your day to learn a little about me!
